Ancora oggi la tendenza comune è pensare che si deve vivere al massimo. Diversi di noi sono invece convinti che si può e si deve vivere alla meno, fare di meno, possedere di meno, produrre di meno, consumare di meno con relative personali articolazioni. A volte non si riesce a capire se vivere con meno sia dettato dalla necessità, a volte scelta e necessità combaciano, ma questo non è importante, rimane l’essenza del fatto.
Potrebbe sembrare più semplice, in realtà vivere con meno richiede molta attenzione. Gli eventi e le mostre che si organizzano devono sempre urlare, produrre effetti fantasmagorici, essere facilmente fruibili e di grande impatto. Devi creare sinergie, metterti in rete, avere ampi spazi, mostrare  grandi opere, devi produrre a distanza ravvicinata, non puoi sederti e riflettere altrimenti il mondo si dimentica di te, devi sempre essere sulla breccia. Ci si organizza per inaugurare insieme ad altri spazi per offrire più possibilità, correre da un posto all’altro per gustare tutte le opportunità che ci vengono segnalate. Inserire questa mostra nella Giornata del Contemporaneo è porre l’accento su queste contraddizioni.

Even today, the current way of thinking is you have to live it up. Many of us believe we can and must live with less, do less, have less, produce less and consume less, everyone with his/her personal attitude. Sometimes you can’t unterstand if living with less is dictated by necessity, sometimes choice and necessity match, but this is not important, the fact remains the essence. It might seem easier, live on less requires a lot of attention. The events and exhibitions we organize, have to scream, produce phantasmagoric effects, to be catchy and create a strong impression. You have to create synergies, to have wide exhibition spaces, to display big works, you need to have a no-stop production, you cannot sit and reflect otherwise the world forgets about you, you have always to be on the go. By including this exhibition in the Giornata del contemporaneo we aim at highlighting these contradictions.
